Force Changing a User’s Password

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to change a user's password in the HubSpot portal. It outlines the process of navigating to the User Administration section, selecting the user, and using the force change button to set a new password.

  1. Navigate to Navigate to “Administration” from the menu bar at the top of the portal

  2. Click “User Administration”

  3. Click on the username of the user whose password you would like to change

  4. Click the red force change button on the sidebar menu

  5. Type in a new password in the “New Password” field

  6. Confirm the new password in the “Confirm Password” field

  7. Click “OK” to confirm or “Cancel” to exit

    1. If no password is entered nothing happens when you click “OK”

    2. If the passwords do not match an error message will appear

    3. If the new password does not match the security policy requirements an error message will popup

      1. To change the user’s security policy access the dropdown field labeled “Security Policy” under “Account Security”
