Multidose workflow
Securely manage medications supplied in multi-dose vials while supporting patient-specific dispensing
- A multi-dose vial is stored in the main cabinet.
- The vial is removed as floor stock.
- Using clean technique, the medication is aliquoted into individual syringes, typically 1 mL or 2 mL depending on the site's internal process.
- The prepared syringes are stocked into OR cabinets.
- Syringes are dispensed per patient as needed throughout the day.
- At the end of the day, any remaining syringes are removed, documented as patient-expired inventory, and appropriately wasted.
