Optional Counts

Follow these steps to adjust the settings for optional or required shift counts for medication stored in the MedServe Cabinet using the MedServe Portal.

✅ Step 1: Log into the MedServe Portal

  • Access the MedServe Portal using your credentials.

🛠 Step 2: Navigate to Transaction Control Set Administration

  1. From the main dashboard, select Transaction Control Set Set Administration under Policies.
  2. Select the "+" to add the new Transaction Control Set.

📋 Step 3: Configure the Transaction Control Set

1. Name the Transaction Control Set policy Example: Optional Counts

2. Configure the settings

  • Change the Starting Count to:
    • Optional, Witness, No Alert
  • Change the Ending Count to:
    • Optional, Witness, No Alert
    3. Save Policy

💊 Step 4: Apply Control Set to Specific Medications

  1. Select Formulary from the menu.
  2. Search for and select the medication that requires the updated control set.
  3. Update the Transaction Control Set to Optional Counts.
  4. Select Save to apply the changes.
