Setting up 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Access the Live Portal at my.caredirect.healthcare
- Login to Your Account:
- Click "My Account" in the top right.
- Select "Sign In" from the dropdown menu.
- Enter your username and password.
- Click "Sign In".
- Navigate to 2FA Settings:
- Click "My Account" in the top right.
- Select "My Account" from the dropdown menu.
- Enable Google Authenticator:
- Under "2FA Settings", click "Turn On 2FA".
- A pop-up will appear with steps to enable 2FA.
- Download Google Authenticator:
- Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Search for Google Authenticator and download it.
- Open the app.
- Set Up Google Authenticator:
- Click "Get Started".
- Sign in with a Gmail account or select "Use authenticator without an account".
- Add Care Direct to Google Authenticator:
- Click "Add a Code" and select "Scan a QR Code".
- Allow camera access and scan the QR code shown in the Care Direct portal.
- A new 6-digit code will appear in the app.
- Enter the Code in the Portal:
- Type the generated 6-digit code into the “Verification Code” field on the portal.
- Click "OK".
- If successful, a pop-up will confirm "Enable 2FA Succeeded".
- Click "OK" to finish.
- The 2FA Settings section will show "Enabled: Yes" with a red "Turn Off 2FA" button.
Disabling 2FA
- Click "Turn Off 2FA" under 2FA Settings.
- A pop-up labeled "Disable 2FA" will appear.
- Open Google Authenticator and locate the code for "Care Direct: your_username".
- Enter the code in the portal’s Verification Code field.
- Click "OK".
- If successful, a pop-up will confirm "Disable 2FA Succeeded".
- Click "OK" to close the window.
- If the code is incorrect, an error message will appear. Re-enter the correct code and try again.
